Under construction...still

Well, we have been in Arizona for over six months now and our house still is not painted. We keep adding more and more projects that need to be done before we paint. My parents may be coming back for Thanksgiving so we are determined to paint before then. Byron is busy non-stop. On top of everything he volunteered to coach a football team that practices everyday from 6 - 9 with games on Saturday. We only see each other awake for a couple minutes on a good day.

Part of the new entertainment center. He had to cut an opening in the wall so we had a place for our dvd player and stuff.

Simon and Bristol are about as much help as I am, very little. Mostly we just watch.

We replace the sliding glass door

When I say we, Byron was nice enough to take a picture of me hard at work. The project I work on goes live soon so I work every day all day it seems like. Of course our home office still isn't done so I was working in the bedroom, which is also not done. My job is to keep the beer fridge stocked with Sam Adam's.

Off to the right is one of our big projects. We decided that a built in entertainment center would look great instead of just the big open hole that was here. The down side was that there wasn't electricity or cable where we needed it. Good thing Byron is so handy! Since he was already fixing the electricity problem I also had him add an outlet where you see the lamp. On this side of the wall we are going to hang a picture in the opening. The TV will hang on the other side.

This is the TV side. Oh and then we decided we really needed to add the four lights to showcase the area.

The day we took out the door ended up being like 104 degrees. It was so hot in our house!

Hopefully that is enough blogging for one day. Good thing Byron is here to remind me about these things. I think it may be time for another Sam Adam's run.

Miss you Grandpa!

My Grandpa Howard past away this summer so I just wanted to post some pictures to remind me of him when I look through my blog. He was always so fun to have around and was willing to help all of us kids out anytime we needed him. Holidays and going back home to visit sure won't be the same without him around.

I wish I had more pictures to post right now, but I definitely have a lifetime of wonderful memories! When I was a kid he took me to Canada, Southern Utah, Montana, South Dakota, Colorado, and most memorable we spent 3 weeks in Florida. We went to Gatorland just so we could see the alligators that he road to school (true story he road alligators to school).

I don't think there is anyone in my family that can say "me and you" and not correct ourselves by saying "you and I." He made sure we all knew proper table manners and proper english. However, much to his dismay, I never did learn how to hold my pencil correctly. He loved golf, spending time with our family, traveling, telling us stories about his travels, Sunday dinners, the Giants, red cabbage and so many other things that will always make me stop and think of him.

Love you always Grandpa and thank you for giving us all such a great role model!!!

I don't think I posted a picture of our entry way finished yet

Why my parents were here we went to see Byron's planes.

We ordered clippers for our dogs and by the time I made it home Byron had completely shaved poor Simon. He looked like a cancer patient for a couple months. His pretty fluffy girl tail still hasn't grown back all the way.

Tombstone

Byron was just telling me how bad of a job I have been doing keepin up with our blog. Turns out he was right. I have posts on here that I forgot to actually post from when my parents visited. He told me I had to sit down and post right now. As you can tell I am obeying my orders!

We went to tombstone when my parents were here. It is a funny little town and almost every attraction has to do with someone's death.

Bisbee Mine Tour

I have been so bad about posting lately. Work has been keeping both of us very busy. My parents and Kellee came to visit a couple weekends ago. We have been so busy with the house we haven't even ventured out to check out what Tucson has to offer. We finally had a chance to play tourist.

We went to the weirdest old mining town called Bisbee for a tour of an old mine. It was fun, but it seemed like the kind of town you didn't want to be in after dark.

Here are my little miners...
